March Minutes

Vino's Dinner was a great success.  Mike Byrum greeted everyone coming in, collected money and issued membership cards.

Thanks to Brewmaster Bill Riffle, Chris and Vino's staff.

25 attendees enjoyed salad with Chris's homemade roasted pecan dressing, barbeque pizza and chocolate Calzones.

Best of all it was washed down with a pairing of different stout beers ending with an Imperial.

Bill did a great job brewing and explaining the history of Stouts.

Well worth the $5 for members.  10 more folks paid dues and guests got they money's worth at $20.

Mike reviewed the schedule for the rest of the year and told everyone how to order hops rhizomes through the store.

Kirk Wasson presented information on Boscos Big Brew Day on May 7th.

6 brewers signed up for wort, hops and  yeast. He reminded everyone that April 7th was deadline for hops and yeast and April 15th was last day for wort.

Ken Haycook presented info on beer contests in Memphis and invited anyone interested to go with him.

He reminded everyone that it is a good way to get interested in judging and building up points.
